Scenic Show your moon photos

Last night as I was driving to work, the moon was dancing around the edge of the clouds as the storm front moved in. Didn’t work as well as I’d hoped but these two shots, I thought, were interesting. Chiyoko Super Rokkor 50/2 at f/2 & ISO 6400.

The first I think is the better.

Good Morning.

My "Super Moon" for this summer; I thought it was going to be over Newport Harbor... I need to get a good sky app for my phone...

Regards,

Edd

What I love here is the appearance of the jagged edges of the moon being caused by the blazing sun behind it. Reminds me of when you're on the equator and experience the moon rising from the ground, it's a breathtaking thing.

OK, these aren't meant to be anything but records of tonight's supermoon. All taken with Fujifilm X-S10 / XF 150-600+1.4xTC / Topaz. The main reason I'm posting them is to show the effects of the atmosphere on sharpness (not to mention white balance). Here was the first semi-clear photo I got:

This next one was taken just 3 minutes later, after the moon had cleared the low clouds:

And this was taken 3 hours later, when the moon was high in the sky:
