Sigma Sigma Photo Pro woes

I just installed V6.1 and rebooted as instructed but the darn thing crashes every time I try to start it., This is Windows 7 64-bit Professional. I have oodles of memory so that can't be a problem.
Anyone else encountered this and how did you fix it (if you fixed it)?

have been using it with no problems for 3 months. Try uninstalling, reboot and re-install

I've also been using it along with version 5. Both versions instal into different directories and play nicely with each other.

Somewhere on the Sigma website it makes an issue that you cannot instal over an old version 6.
I uninstalled the existing version and cleaned up the registry to remove Sigma 6 traces before reinstalling.
Something like the free CCleaner (Download CCleaner | Clean, optimize & tune up your PC, free!) will help if you don't like using regedit to scan your registry.
