SIF Day 11. Reflective shot of a light fixture at my Son’s house tonight. Wish I‘d had more time to work it but when visiting, one must move along. Especially as dinner was about to be presented.

It was my mom's 81st birthday today, so my wife and I were at her apartment most of the day. My wife baked my mom's favorite chocolate-cherry birthday cake, and I offered to frost and decorate it. I'd never once done this before (no idea why), but gave it a go. We didn't have a proper piping bag nor tips, so I just piped it using a sandwich bag with a cut corner (alas, my cut was way too big). The whole thing was a little "rough and ready" as they say, but Mom loved it.

I keep on thinking it with just about every one of your photos in this SiF, Steve, so I'd better say it: the Q7 really makes very, very fine monochrome images. I love this one.
And, since I'm curious: was this taken with the Q7's in-camera Bold Monochrome setting? Or did you process it somehow?
Damn, Glen! This has to be one of THE BEST canine portraits I've ever seen.
But, even better, this image could be titled something like: "Patience" ... or "Focus" ... it so captures that moment when the dog's attention, indeed its entire being, is entirely focused on that ball in front of it, tantalizingly close but just out of reach.
