Jolly good, I have one of those myself, named Frøya, a bitch going on her 8th year. Retired from hunting, though, and that goes for me as well, at least anything regular. Both of us have somewhat iffy and operated on knees.Yes Sir. We will be hunting next week. Quail and rabbit mostly.
Thank you Miguel. This image came about after I drove into Houston to meet a former colleague for lunch. After lunch drove by an area that is known for eclectic shops, bars, tattoo parlors, and who knows what else where I spotted these two seemingly abandoned houses with much graffiti. This door caught my eye. After circling back, I parked and found this image and my Daily #556. On this door it appeared that the glass was broken so someone (probably homeless folks) entered. Somehow the sideways building graphic was being used as a shade to cover the broken glass. Glad you like it. It has a certain quality that I like, but I can't help but wonder about the history of this house and how it came to such a condition. Fell a sort of a sadness in both of my images today. The more I look at this photo, Don, the more it grows on me.
Both because of the trompe l'ceil effect of the photographic image on the door (could it be a reflection? I don't think so, but the photograph leaves me wondering, which is a good thing) - the composition - the textures - the darks and lights.
It's a great image. And (pardon the photographic cliché), 'well seen'.
I had to change camera/lens combo today. I'll shoot an X-Pro2 and Meike 35mm f/1.4 manual-focus X-mount lens for the rest of the challenge.
