Smaller would be my pick, one of the reasons I'm going back and forth on switching from m4/3 back to nikon.Oh no, I’m vacillating. Maybe, instead of the A7Riii with the 45, I might go with the X-T30 and the 27. Very similar combinations but the Fuji is much smaller. I could also pick a film simulation. Eterna would be interesting.
I carried the A7 II with Sigma 45mm C as my daily driver for weeks - it's not that bulky at all. But yes, of course the Fujifilm setup is smaller.Smaller would be my pick, one of the reasons I'm going back and forth on switching from m4/3 back to nikon.
Thats a great idea. If for some reason, Gladys releases us from our restrictions earlier than expected (or if she takes pity on those of us vaccinated) I might go with the 12 Mini instead of a dedicated camera. You know, I think I may choose a left-field option and use the Kultcamera app on my Pixel phone. There are well over a hundred different options of combining camera, lens and film, even if I just choose the square formats, so one per day is very feasible. (I am really not enjoying using the RX100 IV even if the IQ is really pretty good so I think that will go before long. It's just too small and fiddly.)
Very nice! I own that combo, too. The lens is very interesting and performs surprisingly well on the M10 when used to the best of its abilities - but you'll have to wrap your head around it, which is just right for a "Single in" challenge.I've watched the past couple of these with interest...so I'll go ahead and jump in on this one.
Camera: I've been shooting the heck out of my Nikon Z stuff lately, and completely neglecting my M10. So I'll use that - Leica M10.
Lens: I switched from the CV Nokton 35 1.4 version I to II, but then after some initial testing have hardly touched the v II lens. I really like it, I'm just such a 50 shooter with the M. So....I'm going to leave the CV Nokton 35 1.4 II on the camera for the whole month, which will be good for me.
Thanks!
OK, I finally made my decision. Tough choice but I'm going with the Zeiss Loxia 2.4/25 on Sony A7R4. Curiously enough I have the same experience with the Voigtländer Apo-Lanthar 2/35 as earlier with their Nokton 1.2/40 (sold already some time ago): objectively speaking both lenses are fine, very fine even for the Apo-Lanthar, but they just don't spur a spark in me to get photographing. It would be interesting to find out if I'd warm to the Apo-Lanthar 35, but because my inspiration is hard to come by these days, I'm going for the setup that gets me going best and that's the Loxia 25.Oh the pressure! But yeah, I'll decide by next Monday. It's probably going to be the Zeiss Loxia 2.4/25 on the Sony A7R4; second option would be the Voigtländer Apo-Lanthar 2/35.
Yup, I'm going with the X-T30 and the 27. It just fits well in my briefcase and the A7RIII doesn't.Oh no, I’m vacillating.
