Another one of those days when nothing much interested me. I watched some Rugby World Cup games and then, replays of those which I had missed. Before I knew it, the sun was getting a bit low in the sky. I grabbed the camera and went outside to look for something to photograph. I have been living here for over 15 years and had never noticed this plant with a red berry-type fruit on it. So I decided to check the old lens for its macro capabilities. I must admit that it worked better than I thought it would. - SOOC

There was light rain this morning when we took the dog for his 'walk' (we walk, he charges about like an idiot). Anyway, I didn't risk the camera. However it's now warm and sunny again so I wandered around the garden looking for photos. This is all that's left of a 'flamingo' dog toy after Stanley has showed it who's boss.

Reminds me of The Godfather . . .

I spent this morning on chores, then this afternoon trying to process a couple of architectural pics from yesterday then a couple of hours cooking dinner. About 6pm I realised I needed a picture for today. I realised that the dog was lying on the living room floor - she has two beds in the house but still just lays on the floor sometimes.

I got in close and tried a couple at f/8 and f/2.8 but decided that I should just get to f/1.2 and be done with it. As you can see, I tried to focus on her right eye (if you look closely you can see someone's reflection in there). I've tried this type of pic before using wider angle lenses but this one works better I think - her snout is still prominent but there is a better connection with her gaze (I think).

Just spotted that the EXIF is still reading 9mm after yesterday's diversion back to my Laowa - sorry!
