A brilliant photo-portrait, Don.
I'm not certain I agree with Karen's suggestion for cropping - I quite like it the way it appears right now. But, also, I can't help being intrigued since you mentioned that this image is in fact a horizontal crop of an original vertical shot. I'm guessing you cropped to bring us closer to her (photogenic and interesting) face - and to the fascinating eyewear. It would be interesting to see the two photos side by side... and go back and forth between them.

For my Day 12, I went back to the metaphoric scene of the crime - i.e. back to my son & daughter-in-law's house, which has some wonderfully eclectic windowsill & flowerpot décor. Somehow, I missed seeing this baby doll's head - now planted in a flowerpot, and also (though you can't see it in this shot) filled with soil and presumably growing some new mutant plant inside its own head.

Second day in a row I could get out to walk (less heat) and look for images, and also the second day in a row rain shut me down. I did get a couple of shots at San Pedro House and Riparian National Conservation Area before moving north to another spot (direction of the dark clouds) to try for distant storms. Got soaked before getting anything useful, so called it a day.

One of the old Cottonwood trees at the house. I liked the cloud almost mirroring the shape of the tree, good light for just a couple shots then went under shadow. Vertical image cropped to 3:4, didn't quite get it level.

I will post the original in the outtakes. There you can see the light coming in the window behind me overpowered the lower half, leading to the original crop.
