I will post the original in the outtakes. There you can see the light coming in the window behind me overpowered the lower half, leading to the original crop.A brilliant photo-portrait, Don.
I'm not certain I agree with Karen's suggestion for cropping - I quite like it the way it appears right now. But, also, I can't help being intrigued since you mentioned that this image is in fact a horizontal crop of an original vertical shot. I'm guessing you cropped to bring us closer to her (photogenic and interesting) face - and to the fascinating eyewear. It would be interesting to see the two photos side by side... and go back and forth between them.
Looks like a fine meal to me, no matter at what time of day (or night!)!
