Single In Single in September (SiS) 2023 - day 16

Met up with a few old colleagues for lunch at the Queensland Cruising Yacht Club in Shorncliffe. I thought that it had a very pretty setting. (SOOC)

As expected, a day for shooting not as good as the day before and only one image to present too with no outtakes. All I can say about this image is have you every seen a courgette (or Zucchini) as big as this? I put the Ricoh GRIII beside it for scaling purposes. Growing one's own vegetables in one's own allotment is more popular than ever these days, so much so that you can rely on friends, family and neighbors to keep dropping by with fine specimens like this.

Day 16
Walking around the pet store, where an assortment of small hamsters and birds and reptiles are for sale.
The bearded dragon drew my attention.
The glass of his terrarium wasn't very clean.
But I had a sense he knew I was there...a large looming giant with a camera, I imagine I looked at least as strange to him as he did to me.

I was listening to a sleep story on YouTube in the very, very early hours this morning as I was struggling to get to sleep . I gave up about 3 am thinking it didn't work. I then started dreaming I was at a Butlins holiday camp (the 1970s version). Not sure if it was a dream or a nightmare but I sure struggled to wake up. It was getting dark outside when I finally got up. This is the last of the daylight today.
