Needed to do this in darkness, so early submission.

The game is afoot.

Now, if I can keep from jostling pieces as I put the board in a safe spot until the next move and photo...
Very cool. I was given a fancy chess set that I want to photograph. I got a laugh. I set it up and a few hours later my younger son and his friends were playing. I didn't even know that he knew how to play. I sure don't.

At the supermarket, in Medford, Oregon. This lady and her husband bought a crazy amount of groceries, and had about a million tiny little 'discount coupons' which the cashier had to process, but everyone was in pretty good spirits, the invisible photographer as well.

After several attempts at using the on camera flash since this started, I've been left wanting and questioning why bother. I have minimal knowledge of flash use, but based on (minimal) experience I'd found that at the low angles I generally shoot at and in low light are not its gig and it's probably best suited for fill light.. I'm certainly open to comment / enlightenment. I'm happy to say that tonight it proved very useful as fill light.

Pictured are items from my wife's late Aunt Jean. Cleaning out the apartment of a lifelong Bachelorette was difficult both physically and emotionally for the in laws. My wife held on to the pictured items in her memory. She loved sparkly, shiny things...

Side lit with two flashlights and flash to bring up the front of the vase.

Another late entry...

Reverse Canterbury Pleasure Place is a bell-ringing method. It's normally shown as a "blue line" rather than written out with all the bell-numbers like this, but someone in this tower obviously thought it a good idea.

BTW - here's the usual way it's written:

Or even more compactly written:

Thanks - I need to relearn it's been so long since I've played. Cool that your son plays, it's good for the brain.
