Odd day. I don't normally work Wednesday and Thursday nights. Took a couple of shots on the way home but wasn't sure how they'd work and then had to spend a bunch of time at VA medical appointments rather than sleeping in the mid-day today so I did do a safety shot. However, I did get lucky with this one (love the sun star) and the safety shot will be shared in outtakes.

Ugh... just one thing after another here.... another rushed setup.

When I shot the shedded Cicada shells on the tree earlier I noticed a bunch on the ground. I gathered some up for a possible future glamor shot. Despite the fact that they are just shells, their legs are still darn grippy... had a bit of a go stacking them up. Lighting a frustration as well. I didn't bother with flash because I didn't have the time to put them in a clean background. Lit from below with a phone light, above from a flashlight. Spot focus to blacken the background.

Not even a safety shot, no outtakes, just phoning it in today. Not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow after dealing with some really aggravating apartment aggravation. Might be in an even fouler mood tomorrow. Yay.

Day late, hopefully not a dollar short. Yesterday was obviously a magnificent day in the challenge, there is a LOT of splendid photos for Thursday 7th!
