Single In Single in September (SiS) 2023 - outtakes day 6-10

Just two observations. First, I really like what you've been doing with this combination of the GX7 and the 9mm lens. The GX7 is, in my opinion, still one of the best cameras Panasonic made in a long long time, and the 9mm lens is full of interesting surprises. And second-- I really like this shot, a lot. Your decision to emphasize the wet leaves on the ground in the foreground really works - plus the visual of all those rain drops hitting behind them gives the image a certain... mood. Except that's not quite the right word. But it's fine image.

Thank you @MiguelATF for the kind words.
There was some luck involved for sure, as I just took a couple quick shots.
I am still struggling with the 9mm, but really enjoying the old GX7.

This here is a linguistic dilemma for me:

Clearly it's a sugar-coated, jelly-filled, delicious donut. In most of Finland, this type is called "berliininmunkki", which might translate to a Berliner (remember JFK?), or maybe a Berliner donut. But in my home town it's called "piispanmunkki" – a Bishop's donut. This is probably because Turku hosts the only archbishop in Finland. (Oh, the hometown pride!)

But is a donut without a hole a donut? Not in Finland, it isn't! The word for a holeless donut is munkki, but the word also means monk. So, literally translated, the pastry in the picture is a Bishop Monk. :D

Once you eat it, this ceases to be a problem.

That's the kind of Timex I'd like. I was fond of my black field watch, but the quartz movement was very loud and a bit sloppy.

It's a decent watch for a current Timex IMHO, and I like it. Biggest problem for me is the crown being a bit too small for my fingers, with current dexterity issues I can barely wind it. Wouldn't have been an issue even 5 years ago. At some point in the near future I'm going to have to let it go. Movement on this is almost smooth, the bps is high enough I can barely see the second hand twitch as it goes around.

Couple of day 9 outtakes. First one is my workstation, rather minimalistic these days.

The colors in this second shot - the one of what looks like a painting, exhibited in a gallery window - are quite subtle and wonderful.
I'm curious, Andrew, since you have been using so many intriguing - and compelling - different color 'profiles' from your K-1 --- was this particular shot taken with a K-1 profile? And if so, which one?
