... Gary, thanks a lot. I think part of it is advice you and Ray and many photographers through time have given: always carry a camera with you. The key reason I got the S100 was I was getting tired of shooting all my serendipitous images on my iPhone (it has a decent camera, but very limited). The S100 is small enough so I can put it in the pocket of the suit I have to wear as my daytime disguise.
Must have been Gary - I've never given anyone that advice... I'm one who is either out with a camera with the express intent to make photographs, or I'm not. When I'm not, I don't like to spend my limited brain power trying to see photographically - sometimes its nice to just observe the beauty around me without trying to find that portion of it that will fit effectively in a frame. So, that wasn't me, but if it works for you that way, that's all that matters.Gary, thanks a lot. I think part of it is advice you and Ray and many photographers through time have given: always carry a camera with you.
James- it's a really great camera, with an excellent feature set. Mind you, it is quite small, so controls and handling are not for everyone (I have small hands, so not too much of a problem, though I have added a Flipbac grip and Garriz soft release). Best thing is its pocket ability and RAW capability- my pocket RAWcket (sorry, couldn't resist!)
