Superzoom Small sensors can't do bokeh -- NOT!

Of course they can, it just depends on the relationship of the subject to its background, and what you can do with your aperture.

Sue,

I was pretty sure the background would go out of focus. What surprised me -- and was not evident on the small screen on the back of the camera -- was that some of the maple buds in the foreground were also thrown out of focus.

I was using the small autofocus square, pointed at the buds near the top-center of the frame. The particulars: 600mm equivalent, 1/125th handheld, f/2.8, ISO 125.

Cheers, Jock
