Smart Phone vs. $3400 DSLR

I think he's being unfair to the DSLR in a few instances, particularly when it comes to the things smartphones correct automatically (distortion, vignetting); any DSLR's jpeg engine corrects them just the same. You only need to worry about them when shooting raw. Also he claims the IS on the smartphone is much better, but then he posts images with the DSRL using similarly show shutter speeds and they came out just fine?

The most valuable lessons for me were the Dunning-Kruger thing (and following on from that in another article, the fallacist's fallacy), and the super simple product shot studio - I gotta try that myself some time! If only I had an off camera flash...

Then there's this 1 inch sensor smart-phone :D
