Sony Showcase Sony A7 and 7r Image thread

Brought the A7 on an overnight camping trip. Worked out ok although it really ate batteries... have to be careful to turn it off when not actively shooting. Also, I lost my eyecup somehow less than an hour into the trip. No idea what happened but I've got 2 replacement ones on the way from Sony so hopefully that'll keep me in eyecups for a while :D

To me, the Voigtlander 12/5.6 Heliar is one of the lenses than make it worth it to use the A7.
So small for a 12mm lens with generally good IQ.

DA40XS is not a FF lens, but the image circle seems to cover FF with some IQ loss at the edges and corners.
Gets pretty good at f8 with only IQ loss at the little bits of the corners.
Small lens, as flat as a pancake. :D
Aperture was controlled with blu-tack to keep the aperture to various sizes.

These look great! That lens is on my long term wishlist too. Do you find any issues with color shift or color smearing on the A7R? I've heard the WATE works quite well on the A7/A7R :2thumbs:

I don't find any issue with WATE and A7R comibination. It's a fun little lens and a joy to use on either A7R or Leica M.

Cheers!
