Sony Showcase Sony A7 and 7r Image thread

The 35/1.2 II really is a lovely lens - it's not particularly large (about the size of the 55/1.8) but it is much heavier than that lens. I find it balances well on the A7r, but it's not a 'lightweight' solution. But I d love that fast 35 look - my 35L was a form favorite on my 5DII. If Sony/Zeiss ever do a native FE 35/1.4 I may add it to the kit.

Agreed on all counts. Supposedly one of the new FE lenses to be announced in the near future may well be a 35mm f/1.4, despite the overlap in focal length. Would be pretty cool, since that's the lens I said they should have released with the A7/A7r originally instead of the f/2.8 lens.

If you're going adapted lens the Voigtlander 35mm f/1.2 is a really great choice and I'd have no qualms about recommending it to anyone that's not looking for a (jacket) pocketable lens.

Is it ok with pictures in this thread, or is it just for gear talk;):D

Images? We ain't got no stinkin' images...;)

Vidar, I just saw these over on Flickr and added a few comments - didn't realize you had this camera! Gosh you've got beautiful light over there at this time of year...and those colors!!

A7 with the Sony 10-18mm aps-c format zoom. Used in FF format with 12mm and 17mm being reasonably good, 13-16mm surprisingly good. And 10mm and 18mm "not usable". However, the A7(r) would also allow to use this lens in crop mode. I think I found my compact wide angle solution for the A7. Three examples at 14 and 15mm.
