I thought we should have a thread for this lens. It has hardly been off at least one of my cameras ever since I got it. It's my 'Do everything lens' that is just right for a one lens one camera day out shooting, IMO.

I agree, the 24-105 G definitely deserves a showcase. It's a landscape shooters workhorse, and one of the better examples of its kind.

I also have the well regarded Tamron 28-200 superzoom, and even though I find little difference in sharpness between the two, I do prefer the rendering from the Sony G-lens. I can't even pinpoint the culprit here, but something with the colours and contrast tends to come out nicer with the Sony.
