Congratulations on completing this amazing journey. I am very familiar with your start and end points so it was fascinating seeing you follow the coast. A great armchair travel - thanks for sharing it with us.

The Fontaine du Palmier (1806-1808) or Fontaine de la Victoire is a monumental fountain located in the Place du Châtelet, between the Théâtre du Châtelet and the Théâtre de la Ville, in the First Arrondissement of Paris. It was designed to provide fresh drinking water to the population of the neighbourhood and to commemorate the victories of Napoleon Bonaparte. Statute Notre-Dame-de-France -Le Puy-en-Velay - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-19 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

The statue of Notre-Dame de France is a monumental cast iron work located in the city of Puy-en-Velay in France . The Virgin is represented blessing the city from the top of a 132m high volcanic spur, the Rocher Corneille. The statue was built between 1856 and 1860 from cannons captured during the siege of Sevastopol to the plans of Jean-Marie Bonnassieux. She was solemnly blessed by the bishop, M gr Augustus Morlhon on September 12, 1860.

Memorial to Robert Lois Stevenson and Modestine in Le Bouchet-Saint-Nicolas. A nice memorial given Robert Lois Stevenson never intended to visit Le Bouchet-Saint-Nicolas but he got lost looking for his intended commune for the night, the nearby Lac de Bouchet. He stayed in Le Bouchet-Saint-Nicolas on September 22, 1878, some 140 years before us :)

Day 3 of 12 - Le Bouchet-Saint-Nicolas to Langogne: Walking the Chemin de Stevenson (GR 70 Robert Louis Stevenson Trail) in the south of France.
