Street Street photography (Image thread)

ivoire, the first and last are both amazing
the portrait of the man would be better if the eyes were more in focus than the nose, or if none of it was in focus, great composition on that one! the nose just distracts me a bit

Thanks.... the oddity is the girl was posing for another photog and in the background the entire area is in flood stage due to incredible three days of rain. It was a bit bizarre to see all this color on a gray day with dirty water filling the streets and parking lots (she really stood out). So i had a go at a reproduction in pshop.

Agree with the 'nose'. i should have blurred it a bit in pshop. Can't always get correct focus point with an unwilling character (and a 'beezer' of that magnitude).

Your first pic is excellent. Really captures the 'ambiance' and story

Better?
Or just more to your taste, or more in line with conventional expectations of how one should arrange focus in a photograph?

hi
though a newbie here, i thought i'd throw a couple more of my favorite genre up here, this time with my GXR and summarit 50/.5 from a recent local street fair. C&C welcome.
