really dig the atmosphere in this one. Quite beguiling if I may say so. The lower half of the person in the bus stand makes the whole thing.GR002230 by Tuukka Toijonen, on Flickr
A few from Philly yesterday, with the Coolpix A:
Ray.....you are the yardstick. Bruce Gilden could learn a whole lot from you.
Thanks so much Pete. But I don't think he and I are even remotely after the same thing. I think he's looking for the confrontation while I'm looking for human interaction but trying very hard not to be PART of that interaction, or even to be noticed at all. I wouldn't want any part of shooting like he does and I'm sure he wouldn't want anything to do with shooting like I do, not that he'd eve have occasion to see what I do.Ray.....you are the yardstick. Exactly Ray, he could get some of that "human" interaction rather than the startled "reaction" I witnessed here in London. I have seen some of his other stuff and there is no doubt, he is a great photographer. I just don't understand where he gets off on this confrontational side to his work; why he needs to do it.Thanks so much Pete. But I don't think he and I are even remotely after the same thing. Hey, I was walking around Philly with Don shortly before I shot these - your name came up! Maybe some of his mojo, and yours, rubbed off on me...
