I had the chance to go to Sidmouth (South England) to visit The Donkey Sanctuary for work.

The weather was awful, with 20 miles per hour winds and rain showers.

The Atlantic was very rough and turbulent.

At first, it looks quite nice, with breaks in the clouds, shining light in different parts, making the coast really pop out.

Very stormy clouds were coming from the North and West (the opposite side of the previous image).

I've been here a little over a year ago and that helped to have some ideas in my mind about what I could make (with my limited time there).

I love the roofs of the houses in Sidmouth, they look so aged (with how much wind and rain they get).

They were checking the sewage and a lovely lady from the Blue Bar make 2 cups of tea for them.

Some brilliant photos there, Ovi. I especially like the close ups of the boats and the nets... they'd look really good on your wall.

The light on the other side is nothing but a mirror of what's in front of us the whole time.

School boy swagger. In the Old Town (Centro Historico) area of Quito, Ecuador.

I just returned from almost 3 weeks away. Most of the time was on some Galapagos islands, Ecuador, a day in Mexico City, and a few days in Quito, Ecuador. I felt a bit obvious photographing in Quito, the locals took notice of me much more often than in Mexico City. In Mexico City and on the Galapagos, I was ignored more often which is just how I like it. The other issue with Quito is that in the area I was staying, the old town, the sidewalks are extremely narrow which makes it tough to compose a shot. But walking on the pedestrian streets gives more latitude for moving around, though. I was cautious with my gear (taxi drivers and Uber drivers cautioned me, unasked, about being careful walking around with my camera gear (GX9 & 12-35 or 15/1.7, and a GoPro in a waist pack) but 99% of the time things felt pretty secure. In two cases, the drivers rolled up my window in certain parts of the city to prevent snatch and run theft. The islands we stayed at, Isabela, Santa Cruz and San Cristobal all felt extremely safe and the locals agreed.
Despite the occasional tension when walking around various parts of Quito, I really enjoyed my time there. The first few days we were there, it rained a lot and the city seemed depressed and not very lively despite there people lots of people around. But when we returned a couple of weeks later it was sunny and the old town felt much more lively.
