I suspected they might be fun to photograph based on their description, so I tossed the XT1, 56, and rokinon 12 into the little Domke bag and went. Sure enough, they blew that place apart. Incredibly engaging, polished without being boring, just wild. I connected with them at the set break and exchanged info, offering a few free pics. The bassist was polite, of course, but you could tell he had no idea if I was any good. I could've taken garbage pictures and excitedly tried to foist them upon the band, you know? But when I sent them a link the next day, he was very happy. 10 minutes later one of the shots was on their instagram page, and did well for them. All of that made me very happy. Hopefully they liked it here, and come back.
Only keeper with the wide lens, but you NEED some kind of establishing shot for this unique venue. Old exploded cannery.

They got a venue full of wine-sipping white people to DANCE. ...IN THE FIRST SET... BEFORE IT WAS EVEN DARK OUT.
