Summar, wide-open on the M9. I found a Summar with clean glass, no aperture blades close in SN to my "bad front glass", with aperture blades Summar. Focus is good across range, this lens is WAY better than its reputation would have you believe.

With all those uncoated surfaces, veiling flare is an issue. For evenly lit scenes, it does not creep in. With heavy backlighting, or a brigthly lit corner- can be an issue.
