Leica Summicron-M 50 Version 5 vs. Rigid

I have been considering finding a Rigid to complement my version 5. This is because my son has an extremely clean Rigid that produces wonderful results. I recently took some test shots to evaluate the difference in performance. My methodology was:

1. Set the camera up on a tripod
2. Measure and set the white balance to 2300K based on Kelvin WB app measurement
3. Focus on the same point for each lens
4. Take photos at f2, f4 and f8
5. Import in to LightRoom and convert to JPG from DNG without any adjustments.

The attached photos are those taken at f2. From what I can see, there is very little difference in the results from two lenses.
The first was taken with the Version 5. The second was taken with the Rigid

I would appreciate getting your opinions on any differences in the photos.

Agreed. So not sure the Rigid is needed? This does mean though that the Rigid is a clean copy, which is very handy.

My thoughts exactly. He is in the Houston area enough where we can share lenses as desired. Then again, by Texas standards, Dallas is close enough (less than 4 hours) to where I could go for a visit or we meet in the middle at Centerville to swap lenses.
