Sun test shot

For anyone wanting to shoot the sun/eclipse tomorrow, this is the result of my testing today.

Fuji 50-230
10 stop+3stop
230mm on 1.5 crop
1/1000
f20
iso200
heavily cropped in LR
Only point the camera at the sun when you are ready to shoot, then pull away from the sun after taking the shot.

That worked out well for a full sun shot . . what do you think exposure at total eclipse (the money shot) will be like?

Probably similar for me due to not being in an area where it will get totally dark.

This stuff has an incredible stopping power. Trying to use Bobby's settings above, the Sun never even showed through the film.

Nice shot, Tony. I may grab some of that solar film to try out sun shots more. And try to keep that from leading me into 100-400 lust.
