Is Petticoat Lane on your list as well Pete? It must be over 30 years ago since I went there.

Not really, not half as funky as Brick Lane. I think I may have tried it once but didn't get much out of it. When I was a kid I had a job doing washing up in a cafe in Wentworth Street. That was in the 60's and it was much more interesting then with fast talking stall holders selling crockery and cutlery, chocs', make up etc. Still had bombed out buildings from the war then. We used to watch the kosher (I think) butcher slit the throats of chickens. For us kids it was exotic and exciting to watch. Not sure I would like to see that now!
 
Great captures, and a colorful cast of characters. It looks like most of them either didn't notice you, or were just ignoring you. I'm certainly not brave enough to go out in a crowd like that with a camera. My thing is going into the deep woods to see what I can find.
