Fuji Tell me about Zeiss

Went out again to this oddly engaging place, this time with the X-Pro 1 and a couple of Zeiss Hasselbald lenses from my 500CM, a 50mm f4 Distagon and an 80mm f2.8 Planar. I've always loved the lenses on my Hassie and I'm thrilled with the way they render on the X-Trans sensor. They seem almost uniquely matched. Or maybe I'm just being romantic. From raw, to be sure. I'd thought of selling my X-Pro 1 and lenses to get an Olympus digital Pen F, which would work really well for some of the kinds of things I do, put I just cannot part with it. With the 27mm, which is how I use it 90% of the time, it reminds me of my old film Olympus 35SP, or at least it is the closest I get to it in a digital camera --roughly the same size and heft and on optical finder. And then my old Hasselblad lenses seem to me to produce uniquely beautiful rendering with the X-Pro. So I'm keeping it. The Pen will have to wait, but I'll get it eventually, just not at the expense of a camera I really enjoy using.
