Textures, lines and angles are often part of our photos, I know. I thought it might be interesting to think about our photos with these things in mind, as opposed to subject matter. I hope everyone will add their own photos to this thread.
Okay, so BBW lured me over here (in the nicest possible way, of course ) to this thread from mu-43.com. I guess if the E-P1 fits the serious compact genre then I'm game. This was the shot in question, taken with E-P1 and a Canon FD 24mm f2.8
The textures, lines and angles theme is an interesting concept, so I found a few others that fit the bill taken with the same camera/lens.
Nic, the first one makes me a bit dizzy (not a BAD thing, but it does cut down on the amount of time I can spend looking at it!), but I like the second and the last two a lot. You reminded me of a couple of others:
Shot with my LX5 at around 4am this morning, handheld but pressed it very tightly to the corner of the fence.
Focal length 5.1mm
20 second exposure
Converted to JPG via Silkypics
Then filtered in Picasa with Focal B&W on the streetlight and warmify.
