I just discovered this pair is sisters from Sweden called First Aid Kit. Every time I listen to the album I have a new favorite song.....right now it's this one......

I'm digging this, gives me a bit of a Cass Elliot vibe.

Checking out music.youtube.com it looks like they have a bunch of their stuff available so I think that'll be 'background-music-while-working' selection for tomorrow.

Saw a Quietus review of their album 'Puppies forever' last week, saw a couple of clips and bought all 3 albums - their ACAB single is genius & super poppy! Made an old man smile.

And I've been impressed by the hipster-metal pop fury of The Armed too.

This might be my favorite Paul McCartney song. It's very overlooked, especially in the U.S. The inclusion of the pipes and drums is an inspired addition to the song.

How interesting. Thrashed down under, ignored in the U.S. & spent 9 weeks at number 1 on the UK charts, while becoming the first single to top 2 million in sales(in the UK).
