Great shot. I could not have pulled that one off for at least 3 reasons.

1) 300mm equivalent would not have been far enough away for me.
2) 1/320 sec would not have been fast enough to stop my shaking.
3) I can't speak bear.
Spoiler alert!! In all honesty, I gotta admit that even though the bear was not in a zoo, it was in a designated feeding area for wild bears and the viewers are on an elevated platform. The bears, up to 100 per day, are quite tame and are fed regularly by agile ;) college students on the ground. The bears are not tame, by any means, but respect the source of their food.

We have 3 or 4 resident Bennett's Wallaby on our farm and they come and graze around the house which is very nice
This female wallaby has been grazing on our lawn right against the house for ages and I could see its pouch was somewhat distended.
One morning last week a head popped out of its mothers pouch

Very nice John :)
They're a bit docile! What have you done to them? :giggle:
Richard, I suspect they were thinking "Who's that wanker with an Olympus camera?", or perhaps "When's dinner?"

I have some of them at the Ballarat wildlife sanctuary as well, but haven't uploaded them yet. Only taken about ten years ago - I've been busy! Fighting the federal government for a good deal of it.
We won ...
