A wild rabbit in my front yard. A happy little accident, as the ISO was left high from the night before shooting the stars. I really enjoy the grainy look to this one, it gives it some character.

The heck with the groundhog's prediction for spring. This is the first sighting of the chipmunk in the backyard this year as he emerges from under the upside down bird bath. I flip it over each fall to protect it from being broken by expanding ice. It ends up making a nice roof for this guy's winter den in the ground underneath. Here he's sneaking out to snack on the bird seed the deer, squirrels and ducks have spread all over the yard.

We have three rescue dogs from our Humane Society. They all are excellent dogs and they get along well with each other. My shadow is my faithful and best dog, Pete. Pete was a street dog and had more than his share of abuse. He was wary of us when we went to see him and still will have times when a loud noise will scare him. He is a protector of our other two little dogs and is with me as much as he can be and as close as he can be. My buddy, Pete!
