I found this lovely little bush with ripe leaves and the flies were dancing all over the place.

I didn't have any other lens with me and since Sony FE 85mm f 1.8 has poor minimum focus I decided to play with subject isolation and lots of bokeh.

I quite like the look of the output, the sharpness really helps to keep the fly clear at 0.8 meters distance.

The horizontal crop holds up very well.

Even more cropping leaves me more impressed with the sharpness of the lens.

Our Red Squirrel is back. Today is the first time I've seen him this year.

We have about a dozen squirrels that come in the back yard throughout the day, both Gray squirrels and Black Squirrels. This little Red Squirrel is about half their size but rules the buffet. It will chase every one of those other squirrels away, often multiple squirrels at once. He is the fastest in the forest and fun to watch. He also likes home made biscuits as much as the other squirrels.
