Well, now that it's here, I must admit I'm impressed by it, but I still can't imagine myself wanting one. Maybe someday, if they get it to recharge based on solar or movement, so it's not limited to a one day or so charge and needs to be plugged in every night. But I guess the bottom line is I don't mind taking my iphone out of my pocket for almost anything beyond seeing what time it is, and for that my cheap Timex does the job. I can almost imagine wanting one once it can REPLACE an iphone and do all of the phone stuff in a watch, but I'm still hung up on the display - I've been buying larger and larger phones entirely because of screen size and the desire to merge my phone/tablet functions. I still have an ipad mini (not worth enough to sell), but I use it less and less now that I have an iphone 6+. When I travel I don't take my ipad and only take my Kindle if I'm know I'm gonna be reading outdoors a lot, like a beach trip. So, this makes me think a watch will never replace an iphone and, if that's the case, I don't see a point for me. I don't get a lot of texts and am happy enough reaching into my pocket when I need to see something.
But still, cool tech is something I like, whether I personally have a use for it or not, and this is pretty cool tech...
