Daily Challenge The April 2020 Challenge - day 17

You can (usually) tell when someone uses a real macro lens. The 60 is a marvel of size, weight, and price.
It's not my favourite when it comes to insects, but that's only because of its focal length, it is a little short, although probably ok for larger insects such as butterflies. At the same time it will put an insect in context if you're after showing it in its surroundings. I prefer my Sigma 105mm, although it doesn't have the best bokeh going or my Sigma 150mm if I'm concentrating on the insect. Both of these are from my 4/3 days. They are however significantly bulkier and heavier than this lens. As with most things in life it's swings and roundabouts.

These pussy willows (and their shadows) sit in a vase that belonged to my grandparents. The sepia processing seemed to fit the mood of 'remembering'. Shadows does that for me, too, as well as the slight out-of-focus feel to the image.
