Sorry, folks, a safety from me. I'm a bit too tired to venture out, and it's getting dark already anyway. So, here's the "constant" whistle (the one I never pack away for long):

DSC_2786.jpg

One of these days, I need to learn how to combine cycling and shooting - I went for a little ride, but didn't manage a single image. It's really strange - and infuriating: Once I'm rolling, I can't seem to muster the patience to look for images. Not that I don't enjoy what I'm seeing - I just don't feel like taking out the camera.

Back to walking (at least for now), I guess.

I often go out by bike but I too find it very hard to see photo opportunities: it goes too fast, even while I ride calmly. When I have parked the bike and start my photowalk, that's when I really start seeing.

Among the many, many reasons I really like this photograph, Milan ... is the subtle but rich palette of colours which have emerged in the whole process of you-taking-the-shot-then-downloading-it-and-finally-magically-tweaking-it-in-your-post-processing.

It's simply a great image.

Day 19: Sunday morning feline ablutions

This morning in southern Oregon it is clear and sunny....but no one seems to be able to wake up, let alone get up, very early. This general lassitude applies especially to Horace (full name: Horace Walpole) the cat, who claimed the most comfortable chair in the living room for his temporary bed, and then, upon awakening, needed to go through his morning ablutions.

Cleaning himself. With that sand-paper scratchy tongue of his.

Gracias, Miguel! Yup, those subtle tones were the reason to keep it in color, even though I was on a monochrome spree for a couple of days :)

Usually in the morning for me, it's some juice, coffee and cereal or toast.

But on Sundays, my wife likes to cook. It's usually sometime later in the morning and then we skip lunch and have an early dinner. She was just going to scramble some eggs. When I saw we were down to two slices of bread, I let my wife have the toast......it's literally one of her favorite foods.

We had some leftover refried black beans that needed to be finished up. So I heated them up and slathered some on some warm flour tortillas. Sprinkled on some shredded cheese and then my wife added the scrambled eggs.

Of course, Oscar the cat loves eggs as much as he loves cheese. So I figured I'd give you another shot of the begging feline. Another variation in my Gato con queso series ;)

Day 19. Another day of laziness for me. A slight cold (allergy induced usually) so, observing the best part of caution, I remained indoors the entire day!! So, a couple quick shots is all I've been able to muster.
The dining room table - finally cleared of mask-making materials. Shot with the Laowa 7.5.

Love those floors. If you use Lightroom checkout LensTagger Exiftool Lightroom Plugin. It's handy to add the lens information on manual lenses.

Hi Matt,
I have had that same experience. Most of the time when riding with camera along, I don’t take any photos.
But, I have started to make myself stop, take drink of water and find something close by to photograph.
That has happened fairly frequently during our April challenge. It still doesn’t come naturally. But that is how I found yesterday and today’s photo.
