I didn't try a translation. Just made a search in Google with the word and get only Polish family names as result.
And, for me, a family name on a tombstone makes more sense...

My father-in-law’s remains were interred in Arlington National Cemetery last week. Even though he was an often difficult person, I admired much about him. He was desperately poor as a child (e.g., he and his sister shared a single biscuit as their only food at lunch when they were in elementary school - perhaps because of this he consistently gave money to the local food bank), joined the Navy in WWII, left the Navy but then joined the Army (better food!) just in time for Korea. He was a corpsman (medic) in Korea and witnessed terrible events. For example, of the 1000 or so men in his unit, only 100 were not killed or wounded. He stayed in and was promoted from the ranks as a commissioned officer in the medical corps. After two tours of Vietnam and promotion to Major, he was due for a third tour. But he then resigned and worked as a civilian hospital administrator. He lived a long life and died at 93.
I must give 5 stars to the DoD for how well they run Arlington. It is beautiful, well-cared for, and we were treated with sincerity and concern throughout. Over 450,000 people are buried there; that alone is very sobering. The service was highly scripted and stylized (it is the military, after all), but it was really well done. Even if it is a performance which they have enacted many times, the actors have not grown bored, and that takes real dedication. These are some photos I took the day before the ceremony.

My wife has an interest in wandering around churchyards and cemeteries, trying to work out family connections and how long people lived etc.
I'm more interested in looking for unusual names or inscriptions.
