The day I left OMD and MFT lenses at home :))

Hi Guys ..I recently bought ( 3rd time) X100 and then last week sold OMD EM5 and my beloved 45mm 1.8 lens to fund EP5 and black 45mm 1.8 and this left me with only Fuji X100 and Canon EOS M with 22mm F2 . We had planned a weekend get away to a beautiful town in outskirts of Melbourne and I decided to take only FujiX100 ( I have another OMD in house with an other 45 mm lens though) .I did miss my OMD+ 45 mm combo but X100 did a nice job .
Here are some images ..

first of all, this is a wonderful series. almost every photo has something to say, at least to me. 13 is a treasure.

now i love my x100. and ive had and sold an omd, though i never had the fabulous oly 45. in your opinion, on a purely IQ basis, by which i in particular mean subject resolution and clarity throughout the frame, how would you rate the X vs the omd/45mm? i ask because, with the coming gx7, i find myself suddenly GASSED up about m4/3, and in particular the gx7 (or maybe the ep3) coupled with the 45mm as a complement to my 35mm X.
thanks!

Thanks a lot for comments . Now they are two different FL and 45 mm 1.8 is a faster lens .Oly 45 mm 1.8 purely wins in terms of Bokeh and have slight edge in overall sharpness. I sold much acclaimed PL25 mm 1.4 and bought Fuji X100 instead and I don't regret it . 45 mm with any MFT body will compliment X100 very well .

Well done! I leave the u43 stuff at home unless I have a critical mission where I need the flexibility. My "daily driver" is now the X100 -- wonderful little piece.

Hey, I just posted on the EOS-M -- it's available with the kit zoom from Newegg today only for $309.99!

Newegg.com - Canon EOS M (6609B074) Black 18 MP 3.0" 1040K LCD Compact Mirrorless System Camera with EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM Kit

Thanks a lot .. I have sold my EOS M and wouldn't advise some one to buy it. It's an unfinished product .
Cheers

I spent a year using the X100 almost exclusively (my D7000 just gathered dust). But then came the OM-D E-M5, and a bunch of lenses; the Nikon and lenses were sold.

I'm a poor (amateur) photographer compared to bhupi and entropic, but I endorse their conclusions: the X100 is special. The MFT combination I think beats it is the E-M5 with the 75 1.8 (best lens I've ever used), but the focal length is nowhere near as useful as the X100. That said, MFT is obviously more flexible.

I will be in Rome for a week in October, travelling light, the MFT gear stays at home and my X100 will bring home the bacon, I'm sure.
