Yes, BB this is my first post with the X100, and also yes that I am home for my annual summer vacation. The Northshore of Boston is a great location in the summer and having grown up on the coast and the water, where the majority of my family still makes their living on the water, it has an additional significance to me. I do not miss the winters though!
I had been saving for a wide angle lens for my Canon DSLR, but for the time being at least, I put that off and succumbed to the allure of the X100 egged on of course by this site and Don in particular. I have only owned it for a few days and have not been disappointed especially in the jpeg output. My earlier image was strictly jpeg and edited only in Aperture 3 without the aid of my normal crutch, which is the NIK Collection Suite.
Anyway, still trying to get up to full speed with the X100, but I am finding that in spite of the software quirks that is pretty easy to work with the camera. Of course I have had the benefit of all the early adapters and posts here and elsewhere.
Here are a couple more waterway images.
