It's funny because my last upgrade was more than that.

Capture One's pricing is nutso....
I agree, Chris.

After fighting subscription model software for many years, I actually sat down and did the costings. I already own CS5 and CS6 Premium software, with two licences each. Useful. Specially as they have Adobe Acrobat Pro included.

Turned out that Adobe's Photography pack subscription model was as cheap as any other, and cheaper than Capture 1 Pro, even in the medium to long term.

I'm used to using Adobe since 2005, and I'm too old and buggered to change, anyway.

I thought about Adobe, but they make you enter your payment info just to do the measly 7-day trial. Everyone else appears to give you 14-31 days to evaluate, and they don't ask for your CC number until you actually buy their product.
Randy, I know that Adobe are, shall we say, a bit odd ...

However, they still make the industry standard software, and at what I worked out was actually a relatively decent price compared with their competitors.

So, I wouldn't be so quick to write them off.
