John, so glad you asked. It's something called a dryer ball, you put it in the dryer with wet clothes and it pummels them so they don't wrinkle. It's become a granddaughter toy, which she still calls a dryper ball.

How odd. Our dryer balls have spikes all around them (making them look like the depictions of a Covid virus) and you always put two in the machine

My wife uses three tennis balls in the dryer. 😃

Interesting.

We just chuck the stuff in the dryer.

I've never even heard of a dryer ball until now.

[EDIT] BTW, we dry almost everything on an outdoor clothesline. Nothing beats the smell and feel of sun dried clothes, sheets and towels.

We were there on a really bright sunny day with lots of tourists and all my photos lack the necessary pathos.
There was an uproar some time back when a TikTok / Instagram 'influencer' was doing yoga poses there and jumping from one to the other disrespectfully

Ten or so photos up thread, I posted what turned out to be my last photo with my Olympus 14-42 EZ lens as it gave up the ghost.
Whilst fiddling around trying to get it to work I somehow got a virtually identical accidental shot with my phone.
The sun obviously came out at the moment of capture, casting my shadow.
My wife often thinks I would be better off behind bars. 😉
