Lily our Norwegian Forest Cat is incredibly haughty and will not look when called by name.
So I have to take my chances and snap her when I find her

Considering I was using a manual lens and she was happening to look in my direction,
I took a quick shot without too much adjusting and it was terribly out of focus.
I pushed this through the AI works of Topaz and this is the result - sort of cartoon-y

That was my first impression too, John. Never knew a cat can show such a high-brow and bossy look.
When I started talking (s)he opened up and sprawled on the footpath with a warm and friendly look.

I love the framing and the background, and you've caught the cat looking at a great angle relative to the camera. I just can't help looking at the nose, as that feels more in focus. I'm guessing a camera autofocus moment in time that didn't give you a chance to adjust?
