Sony Showcase The RX10 image thread

Well, I did all I could with my RX10, I missed getting that great shallow depth of field a 50 1.4 can offer. I traded the RX10 for a new a6000 and an Emount 50 1.8 and a Nikon to Emount adaptor. What can I tell you... I'm fickle.;)

800 looks great!

Hoped there would be more RX10 participants contributing here, oh well. I'm really enjoying this rig, as my only camera, it's the first one since I've known what RAW was, that I'm currently shooting .JPG (super fine), partially because of the limited RAW support at this point but mostly because the camera just seems to get it right, and quicker than I would processing the RAW files. Here are a couple of portraits at ISO 800

Got a LNIB RX-10 earlier this week for a good price. I sold off a few m43 lenses to fund; given the results of my testing today, I may sell off a few more to simplify my kit further. I really like the build, ergonomics/control placement and handling, it is a great all around camera. Never owned a Sony before, but I can see why people rave about the sensor in the RX100 now that I've seen the results on RX-10, which has the same señor. The Zeiss lens does not disappoint, even with the Clear/digital zoom activated. Great to have a 400mm equiv with a max aperture of F2.8!.

Very minimal PP to the photos below, mostly cropping and slight adjustments to shadows. I think the JPGs are very similar in color to those of the GX-7 and GM-1; toned down default in-camera JPG sharpening to -2.

First set at ISO 3200.

RT - great photos, i'm encouraged to bring the RX-10 to the next airshow I attend, I really like your photos of the AT-6/"Zero", especially the one with the "Zero" buzzing the runway and the one showing it flying through the black smoke. Well done!
