Picturesque Weir in Florac by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

An unnamed, well to me, picturesque weir we passed as were heading out of Florac on a lovely summer’s day.

Just wondering: what are all these poles for?
This means that this is an urban development area - planned buildings. Which almost certainly means that the building you see is occupied by urban settlers or anarchists; the flags indicate radical leftist views (for Switzerland).

I was rather impressed by the combination of humanitarian and environmental positions: The flag on the right indicates the "Glacier Initiative", a rather far-reaching environmental constitutional initiative (Switzerland's direct democracy allows for such movements to gain political traction - to some degree if they're leftist - this is a staunchly conservative nation). There'll be a vote on parlament's counter-initiative in June - the initiative itself has been temporarily retracted (something quite rare).
