When we went to the ferry for our home voyage after a holiday on the Dutch island of Ameland, we encountered this sea fog. It's caused by warm early-summer air moving over still-cold sea water, which saps the air's energy (temperature) and causes the moisture in the air to condense. This meant an unpleasant and cold surprise for the hordes of people who had hoped to spend their day off on the beach! As soon as you got a few hundred metres inland, all was sunny and warm again though!
Biked by this field of young corn plants (could almost hear the photosynthesis going on) during lunch today... future food energy, somewhat inefficient auto fuel, or possibly... whiskey (or is that negative energy?)!
