This could be titled "Ways to (Ab)Use Art": In the central staircase of the Federal Palace of Switzerland in Berne, you find works of art representing political and ethical views from the past that still manage to influence the present to a worrying degree. In the image, you see a small portion of them: takes on "asylum", "inner peace" (the contrary, really) and "manhood", that appear dreadfully outmoded, but they're still adorning and, in a tangible way, defining, the very place where Swiss parliament and government meet and reside, respectively. Our guide was living proof to that as well: a very nice, knowledgeable guy who nevertheless mixed up history and mythology to a degree I found hard to stomach.
