On a nature walk at a local man-made reservoir lake near where I live, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. At first it looked like bees attacking a praying mantis. But then I realized it was wasps (who are basically scavengers) starting to eat the body of a desiccated mantis. I must say, I've never seen anything like it... watching nature unfold. Weirdly, the process almost seemed poetic.
