Every once in a while you see love…
A couple. They sit next to me. They order a coffee.
He is reading a sports paper , she is smoking while watching the something on her smartphone.
He pulls out a box, opens it, and the chess pieces appear.
They start a game.
I talk to her because he doesn't say a word.
He is 86 years old and is Norwegian.
She tells me that they go every day and play chess.
She has learned chess because he doesn't want to play with anyone any more (he used to participate in chess Tournaments)
She says it's great for keeping your brain…

From time to time I take this lightweight with an incredible range with me on a stroll. With 600mm you are so far away from these creatures that they don't consider you a danger. Of course there are sharper lenses (for pixel counters), but it's still astonishing what you get with this lens (low-budget).

Some post-travel scheduling issues have kept me from posting the past few days, but I managed to get out into a public garden for a little while today. It was mid-day light, but whatever 😉
