This shot reflects the feeling I have at the age of 74 which is so beautifully expressed in Colin Wilkie's song ‘Autumn Is Knocking At Our Door’. Colin, who died in 2020, performed five times in my Folk Club here in Winnenden (running since 1990).

The Tamron is a really nice fit for the Z 6 III and yields nice results - but here's an impression I have to verify at some point in time: I think the Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S actually outperforms it optically - in a tangible way. Don't get me wrong, the Tamron's a great lens for its price - but the Z 24-120mm is even more desirable due to range and results, and it balances just as well on the Z 6 III despite its (slightly) bigger bulk.

I'm still glad I bought the Tamron - because it feels pretty good on the Z f, too.

It's truly a lovely song, Walter. Thank you for sharing it.
I like the photograph, too. It does so many things, with such a simple subject... but the light, the darkness, the textures... everything, really.

Be it in-camera or with Snapseed: this fooling around gives homo ludens its tribute ... and it's just so much fun.
I'm thinking of starting an in-camera double exposure thread some time (right now I'm too occupied).
Walter, starting that thread is a great idea. Look forward to participating

Incidently, a b&w thread for this purpose just popped up; maybe we can open it and repurpose it - or you can start a colour one @wee-pics.

As Don already mentioned, the photo in that thread is definitely not b&w, so Bozzie posted it in the wrong category.
But I agree with you, let's take it as a starter of a double exposure thread. And I would not limit it to in-camera, as Don has posted several intriguing Snapseed overlays.

Sorry, I actually didn't notice that part of Don's comment. I just saw Bozzie's thread. So, a lilttle adjustment is in order, I think.
