Today is Sant Jordi, Saint Georges, Patron of Catalonia
Catalans have a tradicional celebration this day. It is the day of the rose and the book. The man offers a red rose to his loved woman (spouse, mother, daughter...) while the woman presents a book to her man.
The bookshop in the small town were Iive hires a musician, usually a young student, who plays throughout the day at the door of the shop.
