Bumblebees sound may 1000 times louder than ordinary honeybees - almost like comparing the sound of a Harley Davidson motorcycle to that of an electric moped. Unfortunately this photograph can only convey the visual aspect... so you'll have to imagine the sound... not unlike a miniature chainsaw.
